We bring our outdoor passion to work every day with a singular goal–to awaken the adventurer in everyone. We do this by developing industry-leading technology, and by crafting dynamic outdoor experiences.

Through multiple years of growth, we haven’t lost our entrepreneurial ethos at onX. We offer a fast-paced, tech-forward environment where ownership and accountability are essential.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR

onX customers, or adventurers as we call them, use onX products to plan and guide some of the most exciting and important days of their lives. As adventurers ourselves, the onX team knows that the design of our products is crucial to our customers’ success. We strive for every interaction, solution, and data point to be intuitive, and clear, and we make the inherent complexity as simple as possible. Product design must showcase easy functionality when users are in the field and focus on important real-world objectives. It also must bring to life complex spatial relationships, rich mapping content, and new dynamics of user-contributed content. We pride ourselves in customizing powerful experiences for specific outdoor adventurers, and product design sits at the center of that work, staying carefully attuned to users’ unique needs and developing innovative and useful solutions for them.

onX is seeking a Senior Director, Product Design and UX, to lead our product design team. This growing team is responsible for creating innovative and effective industry-leading solutions for onX adventurers. You will have to jump between strategic and tactical and roll up your sleeves to assist the team where necessary. The ideal candidate has experience in design, UX, UI, and a strong research background. A successful recruiting and people development track record is essential. Experience at a direct-to-consumer growth stage technology company is highly desired.
