About this Opportunity:
We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer who is passionate about changing the way we build places (homes, neighborhoods, communities, cities) and making them feel beautiful, sustainable, connected, and alive. As a Senior Product Designer, you’ll help the team build, maintain, and expand our technology platform that is making homebuilding scalable. This work includes leading the ongoing development and maintenance of user experience and interface design systems, as well as collaborating with our product and design team members on user research, testing, specifications and requirements.  In this role, you will serve as a design lead  within a product team that includes a product lead, technical lead, and other engineers. You will support and execute ongoing day-to-day product design needs, and collaborate with the team on the product roadmap and vision. You will work closely with the product lead and interact directly with users to build prototypes which help clarify needs and guide engineering work. You should excel in synthesizing feedback to and from others — whether you’re mentoring junior team members or conducting user research. 
 
The Senior Product Designer is a remote role and is expected to be online during core business operation hours (9am-5pm local time).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the iterative design process of major product releases from concept to productionCreate high-quality design solutions that deliver user and business value
  • Maintain and scale our product design systems using Figma
  • Write design specifications for our product requirementsBuild prototypes to test with usersValidate designs with users and iterate based on research and learnings
  • Ensure consistency and clarity of design
  • Cross-collaboration with product and engineering leads
  • Maintain design processes & culture within the product design team and across the organizationEnsure smooth transition of designs to our development teams
  • Support the the set up of design processes / culture within Product Design and across the organization
  • Mentor junior team members and/or interns

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS in a design related field (HCI, graphic design, product design or architecture preferred) or equivalent technical experience
  • 5+ years of professional work experience
  • 2-5 years of experience as a design lead
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with customers / external stakeholders
  • Direct experience working in the architecture, engineering, and/or construction industriesExperience working with Figma, Jira, Miro, and Notion Experience with Agile product development
  • Experience with enterprise or resource planning software a plus

Company work-environment philosophy: Mosaic is a flex-first work environment, meaning some of the roles are worked primarily on a remote basis with some visibility to the corporate offices while others are worked physically in the corporate office or other such assigned in-person physical hub with some flexibility for occasional remote.  These schedules are pre-designed and physical workspaces pre-determined based specifically on the position and visibility needs.
